many metal and offensive stickers which are essential for my tone! History: Born in Hollywood, CA. Raised in the San Fernando Valley in LA County. Music for me started on long road trips with my sister and I in the back seat of my parents car rocking back and forth really hard to the rhythm of whatever we were listening to. Talk about connecting some part of your body to the beat. Let's just say I had an early start on trying to attain good meter. I think I was 9 when started piano which I went at for a few years. Back then I listened to whatever my older sister listened to so if you even wonder why I have such an extensive knowledge of bad 80's music there you go. I was in the 4th grade and my sister had a boyfriend who gave me copies of AC/DC's "Back In Black" and Van Halen's self titled first album. After that it was all over for me. Then came Rush, Sabbath, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden - come Jr. High, Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, and on and on.
To make a long story short (TOO LATE!). I picked up drums in Jr. High and then went over to bass. Why bass? Go ahead and break out Iron Maiden "The Number Of The Beast", put on the first track "Invaders" and you will have your answer. I'm not gonna go over my whole history of band experiences but I was always trying to progress. I played in a fusion band for a few years in high school. I also picked up trombone. I played in the concert band, the orchestra, and the jazz band. By the time I was 17 I was frequently playing clubs with my then band Ascension. After graduating high school. I took time off and continued to play and play and play and play. Once entering college, I joined the West Valley Chamber Orchestra which I played in for 3 seasons. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, this wouldn't be for electric bass. It's a big wood bass. (lol) Joined Prototype in early '96 and you can learn more about them at www.prototypeonline.com.
Progressed leaps and bounds in playing and business experience then. With
Prototype, I recorded an EP, and performed on songs for 3 tribute albums. After
Prototype, I played around for 3 different bands and remained busy sticking my
nose into anything that brought me more experience (and a bit of extra $). Once
I got burnt out on trying to help bands out that weren't metal........, you'll
have to go to ARTISAN bio to learn about what happened next. Here I am. Playing
in ARTISAN, rehearsing, and working and looking forward to getting out there
again and playing some good heavy fucking metal! Previous bands: Prototype, Ascension. various incarnations of an Ozzy tribute, and many nameless, faceless, bands who wish to remain un-named.
